This project is a visual exploration of house music’s origins, cultural impact, and evolution, based on research from A Brief History of House Music.

The book is designed to reflect the energy and inclusivity of the genre—blending rhythmic layouts, bold typography, and vibrant color schemes that echo the spirit of the dancefloor.

Equalizing the Dancefloor pays tribute to the communities that shaped house music, highlighting its roots in resistance, liberation, and collective joy.
